AMY SWICK

SPENCERVILLE — Amy Lou Gales Swick, 53, of Spencerville, passed away Monday evening, December 12, 2016 at her residence following a sudden illness.

She was born August 11, 1963 in Lima, the daughter of LaVerne S. and Pansy M. Owens Gales, who are deceased. On April 17, 1999 she married Brad A. Swick, who survives in Spencerville.

Also surviving are 5 children; Joshua (Catie) Adams of Shawnee; Trevor (Tara Baker) Arthur of Lima; Brad (Leann Hartman) Swick II of Louisville, KY.; Brittney (Dan Vetter) Swick and Brandon Swick, both of Lima; 10 grandchildren; Joshua Adams, Jr.; Caleb Adams; Owen Adams; Olivia Adams; Braysen Arthur; Krue Arthur; Playcie Allen; Nolynn Allen; Kacelynn Allen and Collin Vetter; her brother; LaVerne "Vernie" (Jan) Gales of Spencerville; her aunts; Pat Ehler of Columbus; Lois (Bill) Matney of Florida and Joyce (Dick) Oehlhof of Portage, WI.; her uncle Bobby Joe Owens of Ironton, OH. and her nephew; Brian (Heather) Pavel of Spencerville and her special friend, her dog Bentley.

Amy was a 1981 graduate of Spencerville High School and had attended Northwestern Business College in Lima. She had been a licensed Optician with Shawnee Optical in Lima for several years.

She was a member of Spencerville First Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and their sports activities. She was an avid Euchre player and followed the OSU and Cincinnati Reds sports.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Jim Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2/4 and 6/8 PM Friday and after 9:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
