ELIDA — Anita J. Murphy passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 1, 2021 in Lima, Ohio. Anita was born on January 13, 1940 in Wabash, Indiana.

Anita married the love of her life, Wayne Murphy, on December 20, 1959, and was blessed with 62 years of marriage.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Treva Lapham, sister, Marolyn Reese, and brother, Melvin Lapham. She is survived by her sisters, Janice (Jim [d]) Murphy, VA, Shirley Lapham, IN, and Treva (Dennis [d]) Bowers, IN.

Anita was blessed with two sons: Dan (Janna) Murphy and Patrick Murphy, six grandchildren: Jessica (Scott) Parker, Amanda (Matt) Parlapiano, Levi (Rachel) Metzger, Joey (Sarah) Metzger, Michael (Gabby Schramm) Murphy, and Justin (Sierra Trimmer) Murphy, twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Anita was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. She retired from truck driving. She loved riding her motorcycle, making cakes, sewing, quilting, and crafting.

Anita was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a friend to many.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 5th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Old German Baptist Brethren, 3954 North Cable Road, Elida, Ohio.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 4th, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, 728 East Fourth

Street, Spencerville, Ohio, and after 10:00 a.m. at the church.
