Spencerville;  Arlene M. Thielk Hoverman, 88, formerly of Kossuth, passed away peacefully at 7:05 PM Monday, July 5, 2021 in the Otterbein Cridersville Senior Nursing Center, where she had resided 5 years.

She was born January 13, 1933 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late William and Nora Ankerman Thielk. On August 29, 1953 she married Richard W. "Digger" Hoverman, who passed away January 5, 2021, just 6 months prior to her death. They were married nearly 68 years.

Arlene is survived by her two daughters; Diann (Paul) Dunlap of Spencerville and Joann Pitts of Lima. She was preceded in death by her sister Betty (John) Fisher.

She was a 1951 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and was a farm wife and a long time member of the Kossuth-Zion United Methodist Church.

It was Arlene's wish to have a private family viewing at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with funeral services by Pastor Allan Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Kossuth Cemetery Saturday afternoon.
