LIMA — Betty lrene "Febus" Hilty, 89, died 12:05 AM Friday, October 11, 2013 at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville, Ohio, where she had resided the past 10 years.

Betty was born in Bluffton, lndiana on January 16, 1924, the daughter of Pearl Arthur Febus and Bessie Etta Patrick, who are deceased. She married Norman David Hilty on January 18, 1942 and he died June 1, 1999. She was a former Deacon of the Market Street Presbyterian Church in Lima. A homemaker, she was a graduate of South High School in Lima.



Surviving are her children; Billie Gene (Robert) Core of Spencerville; Judith Ann Troidl of Colville, WA.; Jacqueline Sue Keysor of St. Paul. MN and Christian Dana (Lori) Hilty of Chagrin Falls, OH. Mrs. Hllty is also survived by l6 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; Betty was a foster mother to Kathy Bennett of Naples, FL and Mayuree Adams of Alexandria, Virginia. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law; Caryl Hilty of Ada.

She was preceded in death by a son; David Lynn Hllty, 2 brothers; Bill Febus and Clair Bennett, a brother-in-law; Eugene Hilty and 2 sisters-in-taw; Magdalene Lown and Betty Joan Hilty.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday in the Market Street Presbyterian Church in Lima, Rev. Dottie Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 until 6 PM Monday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville and after 9:30 AM Tuesday in the Williamsburg Room at the Church.
