Obituary

Spencerville;       Beulah Magdalena Carnes, 101, of Spencerville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville.

Beulah was born on October 29, 1922 in Noble Township, Ohio to the late Cem Everett and Elsie Leah (Beaber) Rupert. She graduated from Spencerville High School in 1940. Beulah was united in marriage on August 12, 1944 to the late Ralph Hazel Carnes and together they raised two children. From 1943 to 1955 she worked for Goodyear and DWG Cigars in St. Marys, then the next 13½ years of her working life she was employed with Wadak Manor. She later went on to Cridersville Health Care and worked there for 22 years before retiring in January of 2009. Beulah was a member of the Kossuth United Methodist Church and was very active with the United Methodist Women's group. She cared for her family deeply and was very proud that she made it to 100 years old.

Beulah is survived by her two children, Rebecca Robey of Kossuth and Dottie (Mike) Ringwald of Spencerville; three grandchildren, Lisa Robey of Spencerville, Jay Robey of Spencerville and Michael (Cori) Ringwald of Memphis, TN; seven great grandchildren, Brody & Braxton Eicklen of Tennesee, and Jaiden Ringwald, Cora Ringwald, Rachel Ringwald, Andrew Ringwald,and Mariah Ringwald all of Spencerville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; granddaughter, Holly Ringwald; siblings, Helen (Clifford) Spees, June (John) Bollinger, Edna (Kenneth) Bickman; and son-in-law, James Robey.

There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Visitation will continue from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 also at the funeral home with Pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Kossuth Cemetery. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Beulah and her family. In memory of Beulah, memorial contributions may be made to the Kossuth Church general fund.
