Spencerville;       Brenda Kay Parlette, 71, of Spencerville, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

She worked at General Dynamics and retired as a welder. She received her LPN license from Apollo Career Center and then started her nursing career at Roselawn Manor, where she worked for 20 plus years, retiring in 2017. She loved Roselawn as her second home. She was a bowler in a league at Lyn Lee Lanes in Spencerville.

Brenda leaves behind two children that she adored and cherished; daughter, Kasey Kayan (Pearson) (Jake III) Parker and son, Bryan (Randi Volbert) Pearson. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and the three youngest were at her bedside in her final minutes. Jordon M. Shoe, Paige Alexis (Jon) Austin, Jalen (Erika) Pearson, Ania M. Pearson, Dorian B. Pearson, and Taliyah M.G. Pearson; three siblings, Janet Moorman, Cheryl (Tom) Adams, and Kent (Diana) Rogers. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto Vernon and Rhoda Adeline (Dunn) Rogers; two brothers, Larry Rogers and Bob (Ginny) Rogers; and one brother-in-law, Jim Moorman.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service starting at 5:30 p.m. at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with burial to be held at a later date. Pastor Andrew J. Atkins will be officiating the service. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Brenda and her family. Preferred memorials may be given to the family.
