Brett M. Epps, 41, of Spencerville passed away on Nov. 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Brett Michael was born on November 11, 1981 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima to Albert and the late Carol (Schroeder) Epps. He grew up in the Spencerville area and graduated from Spencerville High School in 2001.

Brett was a member of the Glass Society Corvette Club in Lima; which was something that him and his father enjoyed together. He was most passionate about sports and his collection of sports memorabilia. His favorite sports teams were the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, The Ohio State University and the Spencerville Bearcats. Within his family, he was proud to be referred to as the family historian, but Brett was most proud of being an uncle.

Brett is survived by his father; two siblings, Yolanda (Jason) Malick of Spencerville and Sean (Joetta) Epps of Lima; one nephew, Seth (Billie Boope) Epps; two nieces, Ava Malick and Keri Malick; one great niece, Judith Epps; and numerous aunts and uncles.

There will be a visitation from 5:30 - 9:00 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2022 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. followed by his funeral service at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022 also at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Chambers will be officiating the service. In memory of Brett, memorials may be given to the Spencerville Athletic Boosters.
