Spencerville;  Brian Jay Ringwald, 47, of Spencerville, died at 8:18 AM Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 in the Mercy Health  St. Rita's Medical Center, following a sudden illness.

He was born in Van Wert, a son of Edward L. Ringwald of Van Wert and Judith Kay Hance Ringwald of Spencerville. On October 14, 2006 he married Tammi Neito, who also survives.

Also surviving is his brother, Lance E. (Judy) Ringwald of Spencerville, nephews Thad  Ringwald of Lima and Zachary (Grace Murray) Ringwald of Richmond, IN., his cousin Dennis Reese of Spencerville and his in-laws; Anthony and Sue Neito of Ottawa, sister-in-law Kristi (Karl) Burkhart of Cleveland and brothers-in-law, Ross Neito and Ryan (Daniell) Neito, both of Ottawa and nieces Adilynn, Annalise, Evlyn and Rebecca Neito.

Brian was a graduate of Spencerville High School and earned his B.S. degree at The Ohio State University and later his Masters degree at The University of Findlay, where he was on the Deans list. He was employed with Menard's in Lima.

He loved football, especially OSU and the Las Vegas Raiders. He was very knowledgeable of the game itself, both past and present and was a Comic Book collector.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
