CARLA BINKLEY

SPENCERVILLE — Carla J. Goetz Binkley, 69, of Spencerville, died at 12:45 PM Thursday, June 23, 2016, at her residence following a short illness, with her loving family at her side.

She was born October 9, 1946 in Lima, the daughter of Carl and Mary Ellen McAdow Hawk, who are deceased. Her step-father Earl Gaskill, Jr. is also deceased. On March 10, 1984 she married Gregory L. Binkley, who died May l, 2014.

Surviving are 6 children; Melissa (Stuart Cameron) Goetz of Spencerville; Shelley Goetz of New Market, TN.; Jon (Cheryl) Goetz and Jayme Goetz, both of Spencerville; Mike Binkley of Venedocia and Linda (Tim) Goffe of Gadston, AL.; 12 grand and 2 great grandchildren, a half brother Roger Gaskill of Spencerville; 2 other half sisters and 1 half brother; her sister-in-law: Sue Hawk of Bluffton and 2 brothers-in-law; Mark (Schako) Binkley of Seattle, WA and Paul (Cathy) Binkley of Spencerville. She was preceded in death by her brother; Mike Hawk.

Carla was a 1964 graduate of Spencerville High School and was presently employed by the Air Gas Corp. as the Administrative Assistant in Blissfield. MI. the past 13 years.

She was a member of the VF W Auxiliary and also the Invincible Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and "Jeopardy" program on TV.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with Rev. Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Spencerville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home where the VFW Auxiliary will have a Memorial service at 8 PM Sunday. Memorials may be made to the VFW Auxiliary.
