CAROL HEIL

SPENCERVILLE — Carol Mae Wilson Heil, 66, of Spencerville, passed away at 9:22 AM Monday, November 21, 2016 in the Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville following her battle with cancer, with her family at her side.

She was born March 8, 1950 in Lima, a daughter of James Arlington and Margaret May Krebs Wilson, who are deceased. On July 10, 1978 she married Gordon D. Swallow, who died August 27, 1995. She had been married to Carl Heil who lives in Lima.

Surviving are her siblings; Jim (Nancy) Wilson of Katy, TX.; George "Chet" Wilson of Santa Rosa, CA.;Jerry (Marilyn) Wilson of Dennison, OH.; Dave (Susie) Wilson of Waynesfield; Joe (Judy) Wilson and Mary Kohli, both of Lima; Bill (Glenda) Wilson of Cumberland, IN.; Tom (Rita) Wilson of Elida ; Chuck (Bonnie) Wilson of Dunkirk; Sandy Dearth of Madison, WI.; Sally Denbow of San Jose, CA. and her sister-in-law; Barbara Wilson of Spencerville and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; John Wilson and four year old Paul Richard Wilson.

Carol was a 1970 graduate of Spencerville High School and went on to serve two yaers in the U.S. Army. She had worked in food service at the Roselawn Manor.

She was a long time member of the Spencerville First Baptist Church where she had served as secretary and Sunday school teacher and for 13 years was secretary for the American Baptist Womens Organization. She enjoyed roller skating, reading, TV and going out to eat with her family.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Fletcher officiating. Military rites will be conducted at the church following the service by the Spencerville Veterans and burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery South of Monticello.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church.
