Lima;        Carol Sue Luke, 80, of Lima passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Lima Memorial Health Systems in Lima.

​            Carol was born on October 31, 1943 to the late Levi Benjamin and Evelyn (Dearth) Cook in Lima, OH. She grew up in the Lima area and graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1962. Once her two children Paul and Deb were born, she took the role as a homemaker until her children were out of the house. After raising her family, she started her second career as a medical biller for Dr. Wilfred Ellis for the next 25+ years.

​           Carol was an avid golfer for years even winning the Lima Area Women's League Championship. She was one of the original first members of Living Waters Church which in time became One Church where she served as the piano player from the early 80's until her passing.

Carol is survived by her children, Paul (Beth) Luke and Deb (Darrell) Kellermeyer; seven grandchildren, Brittany Reyes, Benjamin Luke, Adam Luke, Jason (Jenny) Kellermeyer, Gabe (Dustin McCarty) Kellermeyer, Elizabeth Carberry, and Megan Carberry; one great grandchild, Ember Angelina Reyes; many nieces & nephews and two nieces that were especially close to her, Jill Malick and Sharon Hooker. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, James Adam Kellermeyer; grandson-in-law, James Michael Reyes and siblings, Ronald Cook, Linda Strahm, Betty Johnston.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. followed by her memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Burial will take place at a later date at Spencerville Cemetery. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Carol and her family.
