CAROLE SNYDER
SPENCERVILLE — Spencerville: Carole Jean Snyder, 74, of Spencerville, passed away peacefully in her home at 12:47 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 following a short illness.
She was born October 15, 1942 in Lima, the daughter of Rollin M. and Annabelle Morris Bowers, who are deceased. On June 26, 1959 she married Robert W. Snyder, who survives, along with three children; Deborah (Michael) Bergdorf and Melinda (Tod) Bailey, both of Elida and Brett Snyder of Fenton, MI.; 7 grandchildren; Jarrod (Megan) DeLong; Erik Bergdorf; Megan (Matt) Tuttle; Matthew (Trista) Crouse; Andrew (Alison) Bailey; Patrick (Jenna) Bailey and Kate Bailey; 8 great grandchildren; her brother; Bradley Bowers of Medina, Ohio and 4 sisters-in-law; Sharon Riffle of Delphos; Karen (Pete) Buckner of Florida; Judy Gamble of Bellefontaine and Michele (Ted) Foster of Spencerville.
Carole was a 1963 graduate of Spencerville High School and retired with 33 years service at the Spencerville Branch of the Huntington National Bank in 2005 as Branch Manager.
She was a long time member of the Spencerville United Church of Christ, lifetime member of the Bowersock Bros. VFW Post 6772 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191 Ladies Auxiliary and the Northwest Ohio Field and Stream Assn., all of Spencerville.
In retirement she loved to be with her children and grandchildren and was an avid reader. She enjoyed the many long trips in their camper, even to Alaska with friends, bowling for 40 years, playing cards and canning.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 13, 2017 at the VFW Hall in Spencerville with hours between 2 and 4 PM.
