Obituary

Spencerville;    Charlene Dille, 79, of rural Spencerville, passed away at 9:29 PM Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Joint Twp. District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, with her family at her side, following an extended illness.

She was born November 10, 1941 in Lima, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Evelyn J. Leffel Sandkuhl. On May 24, 1964 she married Charles A. Dille, who survives, along with their children; Charles A. (Teresa) Dille IV of Waynesville, Oh., Karen S. Dille of Spencerville and Christopher A. (Jessica) Dille of Fort Mitchell, KY.; four grandchildren, Samuel S. Dille of Boston, MA., Kristen S. Dille of Waynesville, Collin A. Dille and Cameron A. Dille, both of Fort Mitchell; her brother Lyle (Kathy) Sandkuhl of Spencerville and sister-in-law Jacquie Sandhuhl of Columbus.   Preceding her in death is her brother Leslie Sandkuhl.

Charlene was a 1959 graduate of Spencerville High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She then joined the  U.S. Navy and later became and LPN thru the Apollo Nurses program. She worked many years at the hospital in St. Marys and was a member of the hospital auxiliary.

She was a member of the Kossuth-Zion United Methodist Church and was a former member of Trinity UMC in Lima. She was active with the former Kossuth Garden Club and enjoyed reading and traveling.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in the Kossuth Cemetery with Pastor Allan Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 PM Monday and after 9:30 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville
