Elida, Ohio.      Charles F. "Chuck" Riffle, 83, passed away Sunday evening, March 27, 2022 in the Lima Memorial Health System, with his family at his side.

Chuck has rounded Third and headed for home. His 7 year battle with Alzheimer's has ended and he is safe in God's arms.

He was born in Allen County, Ohio on October 29, 1938 to the late Howard and Lola Riffle. He married Ann Smith.  They have two children; C. Daniel (Gale) Riffle and Jan Alison (Jeffrey) McPhail, both of Oklahoma; five grandchildren;  Joshua (Heather) McPhail, Malachi McPhail, Joel (Leah) Riffle, Elijah (Mary Jo) McPhail and Zeke McPhail;  5 great grandchildren;  Jimi Holiday, Jude Shearin, Annabella McPhail, Levi Riffle and Evie McPhail.

Chuck's other survivors are Loretta Riffle, Neil (Linda) Riffle, Joyce Brown, Barb Smith,  Pam (David) Watkins, Lee (Julie) Smith, Gerry Koch and his mother-in-law Lois Smith.

Preceding him in death is Bill Riffle, Marilyn (Maury) Zerkel, Shirley Joseph, Pete Riffle, Richard Smith and his father-in-law James Smith.

"For a man who said he was no body special – Those who knew him, know just how special he was."

Per his request, there will be no public services or visitation.
