DELPHOS -- Craig Martin Doty, 73, Delphos, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima after recently being diagnosed with colon cancer. He was born to the late Don and Janice (Striff) Doty on September 29, 1950, in Lima, OH. Craig married Cheryl Langham on October 21, 1988, who survives in Delphos.

Craig is survived by six children: Christi (Matt) McGuire of Bradenton, FL, Corrie Doty of Canton, GA and Kasey (Henry) Quiles of Atlanta, GA, Chris (Brenda) Mercer and Travis Mercer of Delphos, and Todd (Melissa) Mercer of Camden, MI; 9 grandchildren: Mary-Allison McGuire, Mia McGuire, Grant Quiles, Gage Mercer, Avery Mercer, Payton Mercer, Ashli Mercer, Kirsten Mercer and Alexis Mercer; a sister Lori (Scott) Hamilton; 3 sisters-in-law, Wendy (Mark) Heisler, Janet Langham and Cindy Langham and 2 brothers-in-law Jim (Cindy) Fast and Dean (Gail) Langham.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Craig Doty, Jr.; a sister, Cheryl Fast; his mother-in-law Doris Ridgway; four brothers-in-law Keith Langham, Greg Langham, Michael Miller, and Robert Bowsher; and one sister-in-law, Betty Bowsher.

Craig was a 1969 graduate of Spencerville High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University. He had a long career in Management and Quality Control. Currently, he worked with Allied Security at Cenovus Energy – Lima Refinery.

Craig enjoyed many summers boating and watching baseball. His favorite pastime was researching and sharing family genealogy. He loved the Lord, Elvis, and the Cleveland Browns.

No viewing is planned. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Craig and his family.
