Curtis Whetstone's Obituary
Curtis Wayne Whetstone,58, passed away at 8:17 AM on Friday, January 1, 2021, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center. Curt was born on May 6, 1962 in Lima, Ohio, to Wayne and Barbra ( Cross ) Whetstone.
Curt attended Apollo Career Center and graduated in 1981 from Spencerville High School. He was a toolmaker at Toledo Molding and Die in Delphos, Ohio. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially weekends on Lake Erie. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include three siblings, Debra (Dean) Kellermeyer of Spencerville, Jay Whetstone of Columbus, and Linda (Jeff) Laing of Bluffton, as well as nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Angela K. Whetstone.
A private family service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home. A gravesite service will be held at Hartford Cemetary, Spencerville for friends and family at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements handled by Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Condolences may be sent to
