Venedocia;  Dannie Lee King, 76, of Venedocia, passed away at 5:40 AM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in the Lima Memorial Health System following a short illness.

He was born October 1, 1944 in Celina, a son of the late Robert Lee and Emma Lavonne Shin King. He married Sharon Lois Young, who passed  away November 15, 2017.

Surviving are his four children, Melissa (Steven) Daley of Spencerville, Dannie (Candy) King, Jr. of Angola, In. , Matthew King and Kandy King, both  of Venedocia;  12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; 8 siblings; Robert "Bobby" (Sandy) King , Ted (Evelyn) King and Sandy (Chester) Wesley, all of Paulding; Patty (Roy) Fraley of Defiance,  Darlene (Kent) Bounty of Paulding, Geraldine (Chris) Cunningham of Alabama; Donna (Mark) Rasman and Marilyn (Randy) Suffed, both of Paulding.

Dannie was a graduate of the Mendon High School and worked in assembly with the Strick Semi Trailer Company in Monroe, Indiana for 27 years. He enjoyed the out-of-doors, especially doing his lawn.

A memorial service will be 3 PM Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the Salem Presbyterian Church in Venedocia, with Pastor Tom Emery officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
