David Bowman



ELIDA — David C. "Dave" Bowman, 59, of rural Elida, died at 6 a.m. March 19, 2015, at St. Rita's Medical Center, following a brief illness.

He was born June 23, 1955, in Lima, to Carl Dean and Mary Elizabeth Pentenberg Bowman, who preceded him in death. On June 2, 1984, he married Deborah L. "Deb" Becker, who survives.

Mr. Bowman was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. He retired in 2013 from the Allen County Engineers Office with 38 years of service. He loved to spend time with his buddies, going to flea markets and classic car shows, and rooting for the Buckeyes.

Survivors also include three brothers-in-law, Gary (Angie) Becker, of Celina, Bill (Linda) Becker, of Spencerville, and Randy (Deb) Becker, of Bluffton; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a special friend, Bob (Vicki) Mohler, of Lima.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Owen and Gail Becker.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. The Rev. Andrew J. Atkins will officiate. Burial will be in Allentown Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
