DAVID GOODWIN

SPENCERVILLE — David Glen Goodwin, 77, died at 10:29 PM Thursday, November 12, 2015 in the Saint Rita's Medical Center.

He was born December 26, 1937 in Lima, a son of Grover G. and Elsie D. Close Goodwin, who are deceased.

David had attended the Lima South Schools and worked as a press operator at the former Hayes-Albion/ Trim Trends Corp. in Spencerville for 27 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the

United Auto Workers Union Local and was an avid Cincinnati Reds and OSU fan and enjoyed doing his family genealogy. He was also a member of the Delphos Senior Citizens.

He is survived by two brothers; Thomas M. Goodwin and Robert F. Goodwin, both of Lima and a sister-in-law; Jean Goodwin of Dallas, TX.; 8 nieces; Cynthia Ring of Lima; Christine (Dean) Windau of Columbus Grove; Lisa Sherman of Spencerville; Kelly (Lyle) Wheeler of Lima; Jodie (Rex) Maxwell of Waynesfield; Victoria (Michael) Miller of Lima; Mary Ann Goodwin of Michigan and Melissa Goodwin of Lima and a nephew; Michael Goodwin of Van Wert and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; James W. Goodwin and John H. Goodwin.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday in Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Rev. Jim Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Delphos Senior Citizens.
