SPENCERVILLE — Dolores A. Fair, 86, of rural Spencerville, passed away peacefully at 7:34 PM Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville with her family nearby. She had also resided in the Assisted Living at Maplewood of Shanehill in Rockford.

She was born July 5, 1931 in Lima, a daughter of Victor L. and Mabel Childs Adams, who are deceased. On October 5, 1952 she married John W. "Bill" Fair, who passed away November 24, 2009.

She is survived by four children; Dale (Karen) Fair of Elida; Barb (Rick) Swink of Ethel, LA.; Jackie (Rob) Lucas of Elida and Susan (Bob) Unger of Spencerville;12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; three siblings; Maxine Rasmussen of Michigan; Charles (Jeri) Adams of Celina and Linda Laughlin of Tucson, AZ. and her sister-in-law; Marilyn Adams of Edgerton.

Preceding her in death is her infant daughter Sandra; a great grandchild; her brother Richard Adams and in-laws; Harry Rasmussen and Ronald Laughlin.

Dolores was a 1949 graduate of Spencerville High School and had worked at the former Hayes-Albion Corp. in Spencerville and had been a playground monitor at the former Jennings School.

Her passtime love was to attend all of her family sports events and activities. She really enjoyed visiting with her Spencerville classmates.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Rev. Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11 AM until service time at 1 PM in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bowersock Bros. VFW Post 6772 for community activities.
