Dominic James Eisenhut, 20, of Elida, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Lima Memorial Hospital.

Dominic was born on May 9, 2004 in St. Marys to Stanley James Jr. and Elizabeth Ann (McElroy) Eisenhut. He was a kind and loving young man. To know him was to love him. Once he knew you, he loved you. He was always willing to help anyone in need. His family and friends were most important to him, and enjoyed spending time with them, and making memories.

Dominic was in cub scouts, pack 165 in Celina and was also on the Elida wrestling team. He had a fascination with WWII, often enjoying his book collection on it. He was a handyman and in his free time he enjoyed going fishing, kayaking, working on cars, and sitting around a bonfire. He enjoyed watching Ohio State play. Dominic was really smart and a very quick learner. He made the best of his short life.

Dominic would do anything to show the love he had for the people around him. Whether he was bringing his mom the flowers he had picked, helping make dinner, giving help where he could to others in need, etc. He always tried to put a smile on somebody else's face.

Dominic is survived by his parents, Stanley James Eisenhut Jr. and Elizabeth Ann McElroy Eisenhut of Harrod; siblings, Trevor Eisenhut and Haylee Eisenhut of Harrod, and Tyson McNerney of Celina; Paternal grandparents, Robin Studer of Rockford and Stanley Eisenhut Sr. of Celina; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ralph and Josephine McElroy; uncles, Billy McElroy, Eric McElroy, Richie Stein Jr.; and siblings, Alisha Eisenhut and Brandon Eisenhut.

There will be a visitation from 2:00-6:00 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Dominic and his family.
