Delphos; Donald Ray Brown, 70, of Delphos, formerly of Spencerville passed away at 9:32 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024 at The Meadows of Delphos.
Donald was born in Knox, IN to the late Chester and Mary Anna (Howard) Brown. He graduated from Spencerville High School in 1973. Later, Don lived with his sister in Indiana for over 20 years. Even though he was handicapted himself, he said he had to take care of her because she was blind. After his sister passed away, his nephew, Eric & wife, Kristy cared for him for a number of years before moving back to Ohio.
Don loved watching tv, especially old westerns. He also loved watching the weather channel and always kept the family up on all weather changes. He was an avid basketball fan. Kentucky Wildcats was his team and he let everyone know it. Don also enjoyed watching Ohio State Football and will be missed by everyone that knew him.
He is survived by one sister, Clarinda "Randi" (Joseph) Painter of Delphos; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Brown; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Elsie Moore and Mary Vermillion; two brothers, Claude Brown and Samuel Brown; sister-in-law, Charolette Brown; and brother-in-law, Jack Moore.
There will be a visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Burial will take place following the service Spencerville cemetery. Memories may be shared and viewed by visiting www.baylifffuneral.com. Thomas E.
