Tony and Doris moved the family from SD to Spencerville OH in February of 1959 to run The JournalNews, a weekly newspaper and print shop. Tony's op-ed was titled BB's Bullets and Doris penned

years and co-chaired many a cantata with Gert Rider of Trinity UM church, and other local churches. She
was secretary to guidance counselor at Spencerville High School for 17 years before retiring to work the
front office of the newspaper. Her love of music and being blessed with perfect pitch led her to teach
private piano lessons in the home. She also was instrumental with Spencerville Community Band and Der
Sour Krauts playing the trombone. She and Bill Foster spent many hours writing music for the group.
Services will be held Friday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in
