DORIS SCHWARTZ
SPENCERVILLE — Doris E. Schwartz, 95, of Salem Twp., Auglaize County, died at 7:45 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at her residence with her family at her side.
She was born June 12, 1920 at Ohio City in Van Wert County, a daughter of Charles and Lulu Clay McNeal, who are deceased. On August 26, 1940 she married Clarence Schwartz, who died February 22, 2008.
Surviving are four children; Catherine Rasawehr of Mendon; Larry (Gloria) Schwartz ,Sr. of Spencerville; Janet (Dan) McKercher of Wapakoneta and Rebecca (Larry) Jeanneret of Spencerville; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 3 siblings; Nancy Zeigler, Francis McNeal and Donna Starlin.
A homemaker, she was a very active member of the Monticello United Brethren in Christ Church and had been a volunteer at the Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville. Her special love was her large family, gardening, sewing, fishing, and her winters in Florida.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday in the Monticello United Brethren in Christ Church with Rev. Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 until 9 PM Friday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville and after 10 AM Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Monticello Church.
