Dorothy L. Doyle, 85, of Lima, passed away at 10:53 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

Dorothy was born on September 21, 1937 in Lima to the late Lewis L. and Dorothy (Howell) Hindenlang. Growing up in the Lima area, she attended and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1956. On June 29, 1958, Dorothy was united in marriage to the late Jimmy Ray Doyle. Dorothy went on to being a cashier in the cafeteria at the Shawnee Maplewood School until her retirement in 1997.

A few of her joys in life were reading, a love for traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Cindy R. (Greg) Osborn of Lima and Tracy L. (Chris) Beerbower of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister, Marlene Gilman of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jimmy, a son, Steven L., and two half brothers, Paul Birt and Narold Birt.

There will be a visitation from 11:00-1:00 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Spencerville Cemetery.

In honor of Dorothy, memorials may be given to the Allen County Humane Society.
