DOUGLAS POFF

SPENCERVILLE — Douglas E. Poff, 63, of Spencerville, died Tuesday morning, July 21, 2015 at his residence following a sudden illness.

He was born October 20, 1951 in Lima, the son Charles Edward and Arnaville Louise Mowery Poff, who are deceased.

He is survived by his significant friend Carol E. Mays of Spencerville; one son ; Jody (Alison) Poff of St. Marys and his four granddaughters; Tannar, Morgan, Jersey and Jada Poff; two sisters; Sharon Williams of Spencerville and Sheila (Bill) Archer of Wapakoneta and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Ann Ziegenbusch and Charlene Sweenty.

Doug was a graduate of Spencerville High School and went on to work many years at the former Hayes-Albion/Trim Trends Corp. in Spencerville in its Quality Control System. He was a member of the Delphos Eagles Aerie # 471. He enjoyed camping and fishing and the Cincinnati Bengals and any other kind of football.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with Rev. David W. Howell officiating. Cremation will follow the services.

Friends may call from 5 until 8 PM Friday and after 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Spencerville Athletic Boosters for the new Athletic Training Center.
