SPENCERVILLE — Dwain L. Wolford, 81, of rural Spencerville, died 10:20 p.m., Tues. Jan. 8, 2019, at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, with his family at his side. He was born Oct. 17, 1937, in Spencer Twp., Allen Co., OH, the son of George Herbert & Emma (Rigdon) Wolford. On April 26, 1959, he married Janet E. Wiswasser, and she survives.

Other survivors include: 3 children, Jerry (Marcia) Wolford, Celina, OH, Mike Wolford, Spencerville, Joine (Dan) Rumsey, Coldwater, MI, a grandson, Nick Wolford, a step-grandson, Adam Mengerink, a sister, Judy (Larry) Bowsher, Elgin, OH.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin brother, Dwight R. Wolford.

Dwain was a lifelong farmer. He was a 1956 graduate of Spencerville High School and served in the Ohio National Guard from 1956 to 1961. He enjoyed fishing and steam engine trains. Dwain was also a member of the Independent Order of the Oddfellows.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Sat. at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Pastor Andrew Atkins will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery, Converse, OH. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Fri. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the charity of donor's choice. Condolences may be expressed at tbayliff@woh.rr.com.
