Spencerville; Earl B. Youngpeter, 88, of rural Spencerville, passed away at 11:28 PM Sunday, November 14, 2021 in the Roselawn Manor in Spencerville.
He was born April 4, 1933 on the family farm in Spencer Twp., Allen County, the oldest son of the late Michael M. and Alvera E. Trentman Youngpeter. On October 8, 1955 he married Patricia Ann Recker, who died July 3, 2009.
Surviving are his six children; Kathleen "Kate" (Joel) Calvelage of Delphos, Laura (James) Schwartz of Wapakoneta, Susan "Sue" Laudick of Elida, Michael (Connie) Youngpeter of Delphos, Timothy Youngpeter of Yorktown, VA. and Dennis (Amy) Youngpeter of Delphos. 15 grandchildren; Roxanne (Braden) Beachy, Matthew and David Calvelage, Carie and Bradin Ochs, Stephanie (Aaron) Perkins, Ryan (Stephanie) Greve, Curtis (Megan) Laudick, Samantha ( Logan) Kehres, Benjamin, Kaylie and Jacob Youngpeter, Alyson and Gabrielle Youngpeter and Rory Youngpeter. 11 great grandchildren and one deceased. Also, his two sisters survive; Eileen "Dolly" (Robert) Martin of Spencerville and Constance "Connie" Youngpeter of Lima.
Preceding Earl in death is his brothers, Tom (Sharon) Youngpeter and young brother Vernon and grandson Justin Michael Ward.
Earl was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, Catholic Foresters of Landeck, Delphos Sportsman Club and Delphos Eagles Lodge Aerie #471.
He had worked as a truck driver with Suever Stone Company, drove School Bus for the Delphos City Schools and was a lifetime farmer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday in the Landeck St. John Church with Father… officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 PM Wednesday and from 9:30 until 10:30 AM Thursday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville.
