ELIDA — Eleanor L. Klingler, 82, of Elida, passed away peacefully at 8:50 AM Thursday, May 24, 2018 following an extended illness.
She was born February 21, 1936 in Harden County, a daughter of the late Lyman L. and Sadie L. Fraley Mulholland, Sr. On December 28, 1957 she married Lester D. Klingler, who died October 28, 1986.
Surviving are her two daughters; Rebecca S. Oley of Weatherford, TX. and Diane (Patrick) Flanagan of Lima; six grandchildren; Daniel Engle Anglin of Greenville, TN.; Thomas Oley of Medina; Christa (Matt) Sedivy of North Ridgeville; Carl Oley of Chicago; Pete Oley of East Lake and Danielle Stanford of Lima; 8 great grandchildren; 2 siblings; Judy Miller of Lima and Virginia "Ginny" (Neil) Esmond of Crestview, FL. and in-laws; Greta Mulholland and Barbara Mulholland Binkley, both of Spencerville, Shirley Mulholland of Perry Twp. , Dick Harter of Spencerville and Kelli Mulholland of Lima , many nieces and nephews and her beautiful German Shepherd.
Preceding her in death are her son; Daniel Lee Engle, Sr.; her brothers; Lyman, Jr., Eugene, Robert, Russell, Kenneth, Ronald and Dallas Mulholland and her sisters; Norma Myers, Ruth Harter and Linda Miller and special cousin Harold Peterson.
Eleanor was a 1954 graduate of Spencerville High School and had worked at ScotLad Foods, Cards Inc. and retired from General Dynamics in clerical work. She was a loving pet owner and a world traveler and avid bowler, having served as secretary of the Ohio State Women's Bowling Assn. and was inducted into the Bowlers Hall of Fame. She was a member of Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191 Auxiliary and the Bowersock Bros. VFW Post 6772 Auxiliary.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Private family graveside services will be later that day in the Maplewood Cemetery, East of Spencerville. Condolences may be sent to tbayliff@woh.rr.com.
