ELIZABETH YOUNGPETER

SPENCERVILLE — Elizabeth Sue "Betsy" Blythe Youngpeter, 55, died the evening of Sept. 4, 2015, at her residence following a sudden illness.

She was born Jan. 29, 1960, in Lima to Kenneth and Junia Harsh Blythe, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 7, 1982, she married Rob Youngpeter, who survives.

Mrs. Youngpeter was a 1978 graduate of Spencerville High School, where she was homecoming queen. She went to become a registered nurse after graduation from Lima Technical College. She had worked at the offices of Drs. William Wright, Mark Teets, Ronald Ringwald and Donald Mack. She was presently employed by Van Wert Medical Services. In her early years, she was a member of the First Baptist Church, Spencerville, and later attended the Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. She was a member and past Noble Matron of Spencerville Chapter 139, Order of Eastern Star. She loved caring for her family, her home and yard and their family farm.

Survivors also include two children, Brandon (Ashley) Youngpeter, of Spencerville, and Rachel (Bil) Lackland, of Grove City; a sister, Marianne (Paul) Ewing, of Spencerville; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Blythe, of Spencerville. Her son and daughter-in-law are expecting her first grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Blythe.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Spencerville. The Rev. Wanda Werking and the Rev. Justin Fuhrmann will officiate.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, where an Order of Eastern Star service will begin at 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the scholarship fund through the Spencerville Education Fund, First Baptist Church or Trinity United Methodist Church.
