Delphos; Elsie M. Moore, 71, of Delphos, passed away peacefully at 7:55 AM Friday, April 6, 2018 in the Meadows of Kalida, where she had been a resident nearly three years.

She was born August 11, 1946 in Lackey, Ky., a daughter of the late Chester L. and Mary Ann Howard Brown. On November 20, 1966 she married Jack D. Moore, who died July 9, 2017.

Surviving are her daughter; Jacqueline R. Martz of Fort Jennings and six grandchildren; Kayla Martz, Jayden Moore, Grace Martz, Gabrielle "Gabby" Martz, Tiffany Coller and Wyatt Coller and her siblings; Claude B. Brown of Spencerville; Samuel C. (Bonnie) Brown of Ossian, IN.; Mary Ann Vermillion of Salem, IN.; Clarinda "Randy" (Joe) Painter of Delphos and Donald R. Brown of Salem, IN. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Gerri Lynne Coller and son-in-law; Bradley R. Martz.

Elsie earned her Masters Degree in Nursing at the Indiana Wesleyan University. She worked 20 plus years at Lima Memorial Hospital as an RN and became a Paramedic while helping to organize the Delphos EMS, serving in that capacity for 30 years. She taught EMT training for many years at area EMS departments.

She was a member of the Spencerville Church of the Nazarene and several nursing organizations. She served on the Lima Memorial Hospital Board and was a member of the Delphos Eagles Lodge.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Tom Shobe officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2/4 and 6/8 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to her daughter Jacquie for the grandchildrens educations.
