SPENCERVILLE — F. Maxine Setters, 89, of Spencerville and formerly of Lima, passed away peacefully at 3:21 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in the Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center with her daughter and son-in-law at her side.
Maxine was born November 7, 1928 in Allen County to the late Clinton W. and Mildred E. Prichard Roberts. She had been married to LeRoy Weaver and Emmett Setters.
She was a 1945 graduate of Spencerville High School.
She had worked at The City Loan Company in Lima for many years and also the Lima YMCA. She was a member of the Spencerville United Church of Christ. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds fan, although she watched almost any sport on TV.. She was a very much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Maxine is survived by 2 daughters; Pamela (Steven) Smith of Spencerville and Judith (Thomas ) Zalewski of Houston, TX.; four grandchildren; Jeffrey (Stephanie Shrader) Smith of Delphos; Gregory (Kelly) Smith of Dumas, TX.; Rebecca (Eric) Goins of Dickenson, TX. and Deborah (Luke) Buisson of Houston, TX.; 7 great grandchildren; Meagan (Brandon) Brewer; Tyler (Lauren) Deitering; Alysa Smith; Cooper Goins; Zoey Goins; Sebastian Buisson; and Remy Buisson and her sisters; Edith Jones, Ruth Seewer, Betty (Art) Fields and Carol (Jay) Meyers.
Preceding her in death are her siblings; Ann (Jim) Colwell and Jay (Charlene) Roberts and in-laws; Dick Jones and Guy Seewer.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 2 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spencerville United Church of Christ.
