Lima;  Frances E. Moeller, 91, formerly of Spencerville, passed away peacefully at 10:25 PM July 4, 2022 in her residence in Lima, with her children and grandchildren at her side.

She was born December 9, 1930 in Lima, a daughter of the late Roy Thomas and AlJenette Irene Lewis Basinger.

Frances was formerly married to Loren R. Jarvis and Charles D. Moeller, who are deceased.

Surviving her are four children, Cheryl L. Steinwedel and Jeffrey A. (Lori E.) Jarvis, both of Lima, Charlene M. (Bruce "Shorty") McCullough and Candace S. (David Lepo) Moeller, both of Naples, Fl.;  her grandchildren, Mark (Melissa) Steinwedel, Jennifer Jarvis (Kevin) Burt, Jessica  (Adam) Spiers, Jillian Jarvis, Jaclyn Jarvis, Broderick (Courtney) McCullough, Richard "Chandler" (Nicole) McCullough and Sydney Moeller; 17 great grandchildren and two on the way and her sister, Sandra Shaner of Dayton. Preceding her in death are her son Charles L. "Lewie" Moeller, brother David L. (Julia) Basinger, sister Tanya Grayson and brother-in-law Bill Shaner.

Frances Moeller was a kind, caring woman who loved this country and all of its freedoms. She mothered five of her own children,  yet was a mother to many. Frances had a quick wit and filled the lives of those around her with laughter and joy. She was a spiritual woman and exemplified goodness . Frances will be deeply missed by all she touched in her lifetime.

She was a 1949 graduate of Spencerville High School and had worked in accounting  at the Ohio Decorative Products Company in Spencerville.

Private family funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 with burial in the Spencerville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
