SPENCERVILLE -- Grace "Irene" Haller, 98, passed away June 5, 2022 at her residence in Spencerville, Ohio.

Irene was born on January 8 , 1924 in Spencerville, to Richard Kraft Boyer and Carrie Mae Whetstone Boyer, who are deceased. She grew up on a farm and graduated from Mendon Union High School in 1941.

On June 1, 1946 she married Robert Lee Haller, who died October 15, 2011. She was a homemaker, but previously worked at the Mendon, Ohio USPS, The City Loan and Savings Co. and the Westinghouse Corporation office in Lima, Ohio.

Robert and Irene enjoyed camping, fishing, Polka Dances and spending time with the family. She was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church in Lima and the Spencerville Chapter 130 Order of Eastern Star for 71 years.

She is survived by her son Steven (Marilyn) Haller of Spencerville, daughters Dorothy Dickman of St. Marys and Nancy Jordan of Jacksonville, N.C., son-in-law Joseph Zofkie of Lima and daughter-in-law Peg Haller of Dublin, Ohio, 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and her sister, Ruth Evans of Spencerville. She was preceded in death by son Gary Haller, daughters Christine Zofkie and Janice Haller, sons-in-law William Jordan and Gary Dickman and brother Emerson Boyer.

Due to family being away, the funeral services will be held later, on June 17, 2022, Friday at 10:30 AM in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor R. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kossuth Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until service time June 17th.
