Gregory Lynn Makley, 72, of Wapakoneta, OH, a one-of-a-kind character who was deeply passionate about serving God was called home to the Lord and to be with his beloved brother on February 1, 2022. He passed in his home surrounded by loved ones and his significant other Jeanette (Nettie) Gibbs. He was born in Lima, OH on November 21, 1949 to William and Jane Makley who proceeded him in death.

On May 29, 1967 he married Marcia (Fifer) Makley and together they had 3 daughters who all survive: Natalie Makley, Missy (Doug) Shaffer, and Nicole (James) Gennert. On July 5, 1990 he married Mindi (Vandemark) Makley who proceeded him in death. He is also proceeded in death by siblings Susan Makley, Carol & Dan Drummer, and Jim Makley as well as a great-grandson Trajan Sherrick.

His surviving family includes; siblings Bill (Denise) Makley, Janie (Carl) Noble, and Deb Makley as well as 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several step grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Greg was a long-time contractor who loved to work and owned a few construction businesses through the years including Makley Excavating and Greg's Contracting, LLC. He enjoyed telling a good story, water skiing, and boating.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, February 8 ^th from 2PM-4PM at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home located at 728 E. Fourth St., Spencerville, OH 45887. The funeral service will begin at 4PM.
