Spencerville;        Helen K. Lenhart, 83, of Spencerville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Celina Manor surrounded by her family.

Helen was born on August 17, 1940 in St. Marys to the late William and Oliva (Stelzer) McDonough. She was united in marriage on October 3, 1959 to Franklin Lenhart at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Spencerville. They made their home in Spencerville where they raised their four daughters. Helen retired from Huntington Bank in 2000 after 25 years of service.

Helen was a member of the Auxiliary Spencerville Invincible Fire Department and served as a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed card club, camping, sewing and family vacations. Helen and Frank spent 15+ years at their winter home in Clearwater, FL.

Helen is survived by four daughters, Tina (Randy) Burd of Celina, Cheri (Darrell) Parks of Hendersonville, TN, Patti (Doug) Fleck of Spencerville, and Barb (Dave) Cira of Lima; thirteen grandchildren, Nicole, Amanda, Nick, Lyndsy, Dustin, Michael, Ryan, Amber, Kelly, Danielle, Gus, Gabe, and Matt; sixteen great grandchildren; six siblings, Jim McDonough of Rockford, William McDonough of Delphos, Sara (Don) Baldauf of Delphos, Elaine (Mike) Schimmoeller of Delphos, Maureen (Dave) Wright of Canton, and Charles McDonough of Delphos; sisters-in-law, Betty Bland of Alabama, Marilyn Lenhart of Spencerville, and Karen (Ken) Shafer of Spencerville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Lenhart; and sister, Susan Powell.

There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by her Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Spencerville. Burial will take place following the service at Spencerville Cemetery. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Helen and her family.
