Spencerville;        Jack L. Bowsher, 84, of Elida, formerly of Spencerville passed away peacefully at 2:11 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

Jack was born on September 3, 1939 in Columbus, OH to the late James Daniel and Mary Alice (Reichard) Bowsher. He graduated from Spencerville High School in 1957 and a few years later was united in marriage to the love of his life, Linda Carole Crider on May 7, 1961. Most of his life, Jack worked for the Ford Company and after 26 years with them, he retired in 2000.

Jack had a passion for antiques and a love for travel. Him and his wife bought and sold antiques for over 40 years. They also owned a small RV they would take road tripping, stopping and adventuring a new state every six weeks. Once they entered a state, that would stop at the states border welcome center, and collect brochures of all the thing they wanted to experience or try in that state. Over their years of travel, they had been to 37 states.

Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda; one son, Jeffrey Bowsher of Lima; one grandson, Patrick Bowsher of Guam; and one brother-in-law, Wendell Coleman of Bremen. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shelly Selhorst and sister, Sharon Coleman.

There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville followed by his graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Spencerville Cemetery with Pastor Keith King officiating. Thomas E.
