JACK MOORE
DELPHOS — Jack D. Moore, 76, of Delphos, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at 9:34 AM Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Meadows of Kalida.
He was born October 10, 1940 in Lackey, KY., a son of John and Nancy Combs Moore, who are deceased. On November 20, 1966 he married Elsie M. "Ellie" Brown, who survives also at the Meadows of Kalida.
Also surviving are his daughter; Jacquie R. Martz of Ft. Jennings and six grandchildren; Kayla Martz, Jayden Moore, Grace Martz, Gabrielle "Gabby" Martz, Tiffany Coller and Wyatt Coller.
Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Gerri Lynne Coller and his son-in-law; Bradley R. Martz and four siblings; Vivian Coleen (Joe) Howard; William "Bill" (Claire) Moore; John "Buck" (Barbara) Moore and Bobbi (Jim) Conley.
He earned his GED at the Vantage Vocational School and had worked 5 years at the Ohio Decorative Products and retired with 30 years work as a "Buffer" at the Hayes-Albion, Trim-Trends Corp., both companies in Spencerville.
In addition to his family, music was his love, singing and playing his guitar with the Country Notes of St. Marys and The Hilligans of Spencerville. He was a member and Golden Eagle at the Delphos Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed bird watching, fishing and painting, and being from Kentucky, he was an avid fan of UK Basketball.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Tom Shobe officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2/4 and 6/8 PM Tuesday and after 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
