Lima;       James Russell Myers, 67, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at his home in Lima.

James was born on September 28, 1956 in Lima to the late Van Buren Jr. and Norma Mae (Mulholland) Myers. He was a 1974 graduate of Spencerville High School. After graduating he began driving truck and was a delivery driver for Hefner Dairy for over 30 years. Later in life he worked as a manager at Community Markets in Wapakoneta until his retirement. After retiring, he returned to Community Markets working part time until he got ill months before he passed.

James married Patricia L. Burton and aside from raising their children, they shared a great love for animals, especially their Chihuahua's. James enjoyed golfing and being in the outdoors.

James is survived by his two children, Scott (Karen) Myers of Spencerville and Jamie Myers of Fairborn; step-daughter, Jennifer Downing of Lima; eight grandchildren, Tre Boddie of Lima, Drevon Boddie of Lima, Jackie (Kam) Hagerman of Spencerville, Alexis (Wayne) Graham of Lima, Mason Myers of Spencerville, Vanessa Love of Fairborn, Blake Love of Fairborn and Paige Love of Lima; his former wife, Diane Myers-Schnell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia, brothers, Michael Myers, Randy Myers, and Timothy Myers and sister, Joyce Walters.

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Maplewood Cemetery near Spencerville with Pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for James and his family.
