Delphos;        Jane Ann Taggi, 67, of Delphos, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, August 18, 2023 at her apartment in Delphos.

Jane was born on March 21, 1956 in Lima to the late James M. and Marilyn A. "Blondie" (Vulgamott) Wienken. She attended Delphos St. Johns and was a member of the 1974 graduating class. In October of 1978, she was united in marriage to Timothy Taggi and together they had two boys, Adam and Matthew. Jane started working at Trim Trends in Spencerville and put in over 25 years with the company. She was a hard worker and affectionately known at work as "Mother Hen".

Some things she enjoyed were cheering on the Bengals or the Buckeyes, playing bingo, and getting together with her Vancrest friends to play cards. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids; they were her pride and joy. Whether she was "mothering" at work or just with friends, Jane was one of the most caring and loving people around. She may not agree with someone's choices, but if they needed help, she was the first to step forward without hesitation.

Jane is survived by her former husband and continued friend, Timothy (Jean) Taggi of Kalida; her son, Adam (Sarah) Taggi of Delphos; two grandchildren, Natalie and William Taggi of Delphos; one brother, Ted (Sandy) Wienken of Delphos; two nieces, Susan (Rick) Kimmel of Delphos and Wendy Wienken of Spencerville; two nephews, Josh Wienken of Colorado and Nathan (Sadie) Wienken of Colorado; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Matthew Taggi.

There will be a visitation from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Her visitation will continue from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with her memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 also at the funeral home with pastor Scott Johnson officiating.
