Lima; Janice Elaine Haller, 57, of Lima and Delphos, passed away at 8:35 AM Friday, April 29, 2022 in the Lima Memorial Health System. She had resided at The Meadows of Delphos.
She was born October 6, 1964 in Lima, a daughter of Robert Lee and Grace Irene Boyer Haller. Her mother survives in Spencerville and her father is deceased.
Jan is survived by her siblings; Dorothy L. Dickman of St. Mary's, Steven W. (Marilyn) Haller of Spencerville and Nancy J. Jordan of Jacksonville, N.C.; her sister in-law Peg Haller of Dublin and brother-in-law Joe Zofkie of Lima and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary L. Haller, sister Christine A. Zofkie and brothers-in-law Gary Dickman and Bill Jordan.
Jan attended Marimor School in Lima, Ohio where she was a member of the swim, bowling and basketball teams. She took pride in her participation with Special Olympics and the many medals she earned. Jan loved camping, fishing and family time.
After graduation from Marimor, she was employed by Marimor Industries and Workshop. Jan loved being a member of the Pathfinders Sunday School Class at Lima Baptist Temple, where she was Baptized.
Music especially heartened Jan. Loved to sing Elvis Gospel and Country music.
One of five siblings, she easily shared their passions. First it was love of the Cincinnati Reds. Then she became all about The Ohio State Buckeyes. Her signature garb became always, OSU sportswear and an Ohio State cap. The cap was worn during every waking hour.
Jan will be remembered for her courageous giggle and the sweet light of her "Unconditional Love".
Private family funeral services will be held Monday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor R. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kossuth Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Special Olympics or the Activities Fund at The Meadows of Delphos.
