SPENCERVILLE — Janice Sue Koenig, 69, of Spencerville, passed away peacefully at 5:55 PM Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

She was born December 9, 1948 in Lima, a daughter of the late Ross Calvin and Rosemary Maxine "Mary" Ryan Koenig.

Janice is survived by her siblings; Nancy C. Koenig and Christopher Ross "Chris" Koenig, both of Spencerville and Rose M. (Michael) Mowery of Van Wert, her niece Heather (Matthew) Riley of Van Wert and her nephews; Matthew Mowery of Van Wert and Norman Koenig of Spencerville; three great nieces and three great nephews.

She was a 1967 graduate of Spencerville High School and had worked at the Home Service Laundry in Lima and then worked at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville for 17 years. She loved animals of all kind, reading, puzzles, camping and fishing with her family on Grand Lake St. Marys.

Graveside funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the Spencerville Cemetery with Pastor Ron Sanderson officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Humane Society or to the Roselawn Manor Activities Fund.
