Obituary

SPENCERVILLE — Jeb T. Johnson, 24, died at 12:01 p.m. Saturday at St. Rita's Medical Center Emergency Room.

He was born Dec. 23, 1988, in Columbus to James M. and Linda S. Jones Johnson, who survive in Spencerville.

Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Spencerville High School, where he was very active in FFA. He was very talented and from the age of 3 began working with his father as a mechanic and farmer. He was also a farmer for Goecke Farms, which he loved. He attended Bethlehem Christian Union Church near Buckland. He loved truck pulling in his orange 1968 Chevy truck with a 12-valve Cummins engine. He recently won the Hillbilly Truck Pull at Spencerville. He also enjoyed drag-racing his 1969 red Camaro. He enjoyed welding, woodworking, FFA and eating at his favorite Mexican restaurants.

Survivors also include a sister, Lacy (Dustin) Gallaspie, of Spencerville; maternal grandparents, James and Helen Jones, of Buckland; several aunts and uncles; his best friend, Mike Wolford; and all the family pets, whom he just loved.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and June Johnson.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Christian Union Church, Buckland. Pastor Kent Place will officiate. Burial will be in German-Zion Cemetery, south of Spencerville.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital Heart Center for Pediatrics or to the FFA chapter at Spencerville School.
