Jo Ann Rider, 90, of Spencerville, passed away peacefully at 7:20 AM Monday, February 20, 2023 in the Roselawn Manor,  with her family at her side.

She was born June 12, 1932 in Long Beach, CA., a daughter of the late Olan L. and Edna Sellers Severns.

On May 12, 1956 she married John Rider, who died January 5, 2015.

Jo Ann is survived by three sons,  Garry Rider, Tom Rider and Dale (Carolyn) Rider, all of Spencerville; grandsons, Steven (Katie) Rider of Dublin and Daniel (Andrea) Rider of Spencerville, 5 great grandchildren; Reed, Charles, Max, Liam and Adelyne Rider and her brother-in-law Homer Coffman of Edgerton, Ohio.

Preceding her in death are her sister, Lillian Pickering and in-laws; Leona and Paul Nungester and Eva Coffman and her mother and father-in-law LeRoy and Farold Rider.

Jo Ann was a 1950 graduate of Shawnee High School and had been a member of the Kemp Ladies Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and canning the crop, traveling with the family, the Cincinnati Reds and doing home crafts and puzzles.

Public graveside services will be 11 AM Thursday in the Spencerville Cemetery with Pastor Tom Shobe officiating. There will be no public visitation.
