JOAN KIESWETTER

DELPHOS — Joan C. "Jo" Kieswetter, 85, died at 10:10 p.m. Sept. 7, 2015, at Vancrest Care Center, Delphos, where she had been for a short time.

She was born Aug. 24, 1930, in Lima, to Karl Henry and Helena Mildred Hoak Berger, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 29, 1949, she married Richard S. "Dick" Kieswetter, who preceded her in death Aug. 5, 2009.

Mrs. Kieswetter was a 1948 graduate of Elida High School and had attended Elkhart University in Indiana. She had formerly worked at the Woolworth stores in the Westgate and Northland malls in Lima. She was owner of the Unique Crafts and Floral Shop, which she operated from her home for many years. She enjoyed teaching the crafts to her many patrons. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church and the Elida Garden Club. She was a 4-H member for more than 30 years. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 130, Spencerville.

Survivors include two children, Karl Kieswetter, of Marion Township, and Sheri Kundert, of Marion Township; four grandchildren, Ryan (Loretta) Good, Heather (Cory) Haessler, Nathan (Kaylin) Good and Jessica Kieswetter; six great-grandchildren, Beth, Sierra, Katlin, Landan, Jaxon and Raegan; a sister-in-law, Rosalie (Richard) Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at Zion United Methodist Church. The Rev. David W. Howell will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos.

Friends may call one hour prior to services Sunday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
