Joanna passed peacefully in her home on Monday, December 2, 2024, in Willshire Ohio, after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry & Garnet Bey Snelgrove, brothers Thomas, David, and Richard.

She is survived by her wife Sheri McClintock Snelgrove of Willshire Ohio. She is survived by her sister Alice Snelgrove of Asheville NC. Step daughter Jessica Baker Wilgus, Grandsons William Sebastion Baker, Kayden Lee Wilgus of Spencerville Ohio. As well as her nieces and nephews, throughout the country.

Joanna was born and raised on May 26, 1953, in Hialeah, Fl. She started doing dishes in a restaurant at age 13. Throughout her life she was a cook, a line chef and then a Chef! She worked in Florida in some of Miami's Finer restaurants, as well as being a Soda Jerk in her youth. She was the proud owner of a small restaurant in Hialeah.

One of her favorite jobs was working for the Biltmore house in Asheville NC. The greatest joys in Joanna's life was being Nana to Kayden & William, the Miami Dolphins, fishing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

There will be a celebration of life on December 7, 2024 from 2-4 at her home, 507 Riley St. in Willshire. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Joanna and her family.
