SPENCERVILLE — Jode P. Lindemuth, Jr., 87, of Spencerville, passed away peacefully at 4:15 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in the Primrose Senior Living Center in Lima with his son at his side.

He was born May 1, 1930 in Olean, N.Y. and was raised near Brockway, PA., a son of the late Jode and Alda Dunham Lindemuth, Sr.. On March 12, 1955 he married Mary R. Weilacher, who died April 6, 2018.

Surviving are his daughter; Kathryn (Glen) Lunz of Anderson, S.C.; his son Randy (Connie Price) Lindemuth of St. Marys; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his sister; Shirley (Ted) Palumbo of Reynoldsville, PA. and his sister-in-law; Lavina Weilacher of Delphos.

Preceding him in death are his daughter-in-law; Carla Hatcher Lindemuth; a granddaughter; Erika Nicole Lunz and his siblings; Austin (Nora) Lindemuth; Lester, Clifton and Edward Lindemuth; Maxine Baka and infants; Arthur and Chester Lindemuth.

Jode was a long time member the Spencerville Church of the Nazarene and was a life member of the Bowersock Bros. VFW Post 6772. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in Germany. He retired with 35 years service at the Lima Engine Plant of Ford Motor Company in the Cutter grind department.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday in the Spencerville Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Darryl Potts officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Spencerville Veterans and the Army Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 11 AM Saturday at the church on North Street.
