JOSEPH MACK

SPENCERVILLE — Joseph Lewis "Joe" Mack, 80, of Spencerville, died 10:35 p.m., Sun. July 24, 2016, at Burton's Ridge Assisted Living, Lima. He was born Sept. 9, 1935, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, the son of Robert C. & Helen M. (Frank) Mack, who preceded him in death. On July 28, 1956, he married Roxanna Long Mack, and she survives.

Other survivors include, his children, Thomas (Sandra) Mack, Greenbrae, CA; Donald Mack, Columbus, OH; and Joyce (John) Bickel, Spencerville; his grandchildren, Kevin (Stephanie) Mack, Sarah (Greg) Burke, Jennifer (Jay) Riethman, Lauren Mack, John (Mac) Bickel, Brian Mack, Gregory Mack, Jessica Bickel, & Kathryn Mack; his great grandchildren, Joseph & Jase Riethman, John & Avery Burke, and Kelsey Mack; his sister, Roberta M. (Robert) Armstrong; his nephew, Douglas (Joan) Armstrong; his niece, Robin (Steve) Arntz; his cousin, Robert (Connie) Reed, who was as close as a brother throughout Joe's life.

Joe was a lifelong farmer, a loan officer for the Farm Credit System, and a Realtor. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Spencerville. A 1953 graduate of Spencerville High School, he attended The Ohio State University, and graduated from Clark County Technical Institute in Agri-Business in 1965. He was a member of the West Central Association of Realtors and Oakridge Realty since 1986. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, golf, and farming.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Sat. Aug. 27, 2016, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Spencerville, with Pastors Justin Fuhrman and David Howell officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church or The Ohio State University James Cancer Center.
