JUANITA RAHRIG

SPENCERVILLE — Juanita M. "Gizzy" Rahrig, 82, died at 3:55 a.m. Jan. 31, 2014, with her family by her side at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.

She was born March 7, 1931, in Amanda Township to Cloyd and Iona Hager Sakemiller, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 28, 1950, she married Robert N. "Wimp" Rahrig, who survives.

Mrs. Rahrig was a 1949 graduate of Spencerville High School. She had been a cook and supervisor in the cafeteria at Spencerville schools. She enjoyed all of her grandchildren's activities, the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State University basketball.

Survivors also include six children, Roger (Mary) Rahrig, Pam (Ron) Shook and Mike (Sam) Rahrig, all of Spencerville, Jeff (Cathy) Rahrig, of Lima, Rodney (Norma) Rahrig, of Spencerville, and Bob Rahrig, of Wapakoneta; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Neuman, of Wapakoneta; and two stepsisters, Carol Miller and Sandy (Jim) DeCamp, both of Spencerville.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Russell "Spike" Trippy.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Pastor Joseph Heeter will officiate. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
