Obituary

On Tuesday, December 29 th , Katharine Elizabeth Boyer passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Surprise, Arizona at the age of 65.

Kathy was born August 19 th , 1955 in Lima, Ohio to Herbert and Carolyn Boyer.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Phillip Boyer, who was tragically lost at 17.  She had a daughter, KristyAnna, whom she loved deeply.  After living in Wapakoneta, she moved to New Orleans where she met her future husband, Larry Burry.  They were married at the Luke Air Force Base in Arizona on September 9 th , 2000, and later lived in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arizona, where she passed.

She was known for her strong work ethic, starting as one of the first women at SOHIO.  She continued her career in the petroleum industry for 47 years, most recently as the Environmental Health and Safety Manager at HollyFrontier.  She loved her family, her daughter, 3 stepchildren, and 3 grandchildren.  She had a passion for traveling and exploring all life had to offer.  She was always full of energy, loved to spend time with her family and friends, and had the most wonderful laugh.  In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and painting.

She is survived by her husband, Larry, daughter KristyAnna Boyer (spouse Jeff Carrier), stepchildren Cassandra Baker (spouse Robert Baker), Lily Wear, and Lawrence Burry, and grandchildren Cat Baker, Patrick Baker, and Cloud Wear, along with numerous cousins and extended family in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.
